The University of Nevada, Reno, announces the National Geothermal Academy for the summer of 2012. The Academy is an 8-week intensive summer course in all aspects of geothermal energy development and utilization.

Last year the University of Nevada, Reno, successfully held the first National Geothermal Academy, which was well perceived as it co-locates with the currently most active geothermal state in the U.S. and many of the geothermal developers and companies being located in Reno, Nevada.

The University now announces the 2012 National Geothermal Academy, an 8-week intensive summer course in all aspects of geothermal energy development and utilization. The course is offered for 6 credits at either the undergraduate or graduate level. Individual weeks are offered as professional development. In summer 2012 Modules 2,3,4 or 5,6,7 are offered as 3 credit sections.

The program starts with an introduction to Geothermal Energy Utilization in June 2012 and close with “Environmental Policy and Geothermal Business Principles & Development” in August 2012.

The program features industry leaders from all angles of the business and guarantee not only academic but also real business value.
