Global Geothermal Power Plant Map

ThinkGeoEnergy has worked the last few months together with Iceland GeoSurvey (ISOR) on a new geothermal power plant map. We have been collecting the sites of geothermal power plants and fields in the world and have receive a lot of support. Thank you to all who have helped. The map will naturally always see updates. The electronci map is hosted on this site, while a printed map is being distributed to selected players at industry events through ISOR and ThinkGeoEnergy.

It is a constant work-in-progress and a collaborative effort. If you want to correct, change locations or plant information, or add a plant, please use the contact form of ThinkGeoEnergy.

The plan is to provide an easy to use registration page for this map tool soon.

ThinkGeoEnergy and ISOR published this printed version of the geothermal power plant map, showing the geothermal power generation fields of this world. The map will be released at the GRC Annual Meeting & GEA Geothermal Energy Expo in San Diego, October 23-26, 2011.

The map will be made available to selected clients, but might be able to be purchased in the near future.

Thank you to all who have helped on creating and publishing the map.
