Abstracts are currently being accepted for the European Geothermal PhD Days to be held on 4 to 6 April 2023 in Glasgow, UK.
Abstract submission is currently open for poster sessions and short presentations for the European Geothermal PhD Days (EGPD) 2023. Abstracts will be accepted until 5 February 2023. Guidelines on abstract submission can be viewed here and submissions can be sent via this link.
Additionally, opportunities for sponsorship of the event are still available. Interested companies are invited to consider the sponsorship options.
This year’s event will be held between 4th – 6th April 2023. The conference will be held in the UK for the first time, in the City of Glasgow. Now in its 14th edition, EGPD has been held at universities across Europe and is normally attended by 50-80 PhD students. This year’s event is being organized by students from the University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde, and University of Edinburgh.
The three-day event aims to give PhD researchers a platform to showcase their work and network with other PhD students in the geothermal community. There will be two days of talks and poster presentations (including invited keynote speakers) hosted on University of Glasgow and University of Strathclyde campuses. The third day will comprise a workshop and half-day field trip to the BGS GeoEnergy Observatory in Glasgow.
Last year’s EGPD 2022 was held in Aachen, Germany and was attended by 80 participants, including 54 PhD students. The event featured multiple keynote presentations, poster sessions that highlighted the students’ research, and a wide array of social activities.
