Call for Papers – 11th Indonesia International Geothermal Convention & Exhibition 2025
Abstracts are now being accepted for the 11th Indonesia International Geothermal Convention & Exhibition (IIGCE 2025) taking place on 17-19 September 2025.
The call for papers is now open for the 11th Indonesia International Geothermal Convention & Exhibition (IIGCE), taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia on 17-19 September 2025.
Those interested are advised to submit their abstracts to technicalpaper@iigce.com. Abstracts will be accepted only until 6 May 2025.
Organized annually by the Indonesian Geothermal Association (INAGA), the theme of this year’s IIGCE is “Fostering Collaboration for a Green Economy in Indonesia: The Role of Geothermal Energy in Sustainable Growth.” The theme underscores the pivotal role of geothermal energy in advancing a low-carbon economy through innovation and collaboration.
This year’s paper theme focuses on geothermal energy innovations, such as efficiency improvements, risk-reduction strategies, and advancements in operation and maintenance. Submissions can additionally focus on environmental and social management, supply chain optimization, and human capital development. Furthermore, discussions can go beyond power generation to include geothermal direct usage, carbon credits, hydrogen, and mineral byproducts, all of which help accelerate the transition to a green economy.
In line with this, IIGCE 2025 call for papers that emphasize the power of collaboration in accelerating geothermal development, fostering policy and technological innovation, and expanding geothermal’s contribution to Indonesia’s green economy.
Papers on the following thematic topics are thus invited:
- Commercial Topics – Environment and social aspects, legal and regulatory aspects, economics and financing, energy pricing and policies
- Reservoir Management – Reservoir optimization, well testing, well stimulation, reservoir modeling
- Beyond kWh – Monetizing environment asset: carbon emission reduction, geothermal secondary products, direct use: health, tourism, balneology, and agriculture
- Earth Science and Exploration – Geology, geophysics, geochemistry, hydrogeology, resource assessment
- Special Topics – Unconventional geothermal development, software for geothermal application, geothermal education, low enthalpy resource development, supply chain and human capital
- Engineering Topics – Drilling and well intervention technology, steam gathering, power generation, corrosion and scaling management
