Entries are still being accepted for the Snap & Shine photo contest of WING, aiming to highlight and celebrate the pioneering spirit of women in geothermal.

Women in Geothermal (WinG) is currently accepting entries for the first-ever “Snap & Shine: Capturing Energy in Motion” Photo Contest. The contest is open to all WinG members and each member may submit up to three high-resolution photos.

All entries must be submitted by the 30th of June 2024. Voting for the winning entries will be until the 30th of July 2024. Winning photos will be showcased in WinG materials, and the top three winners will receive special recognition at the annual Global WING awards.

“Snap & Shine: Capturing Energy in Motion” aims to showcase the vibrant and diverse roles of women in geothermal energy. WinG encourages members to submit photos that highlight their work, achievements, and the unique perspectives they bring to the geothermal sector. Winning photos will be featured in WinG’s presentations, at conferences, and in various WinG promotional materials, helping to inspire and educate others about the vital contributions of women in this field.

WinG also encourages photos that highlight the group’s core values – empowering, courageous, caring, and open – to illustrate the positive impact and pioneering spirit of women in geothermal.
