Geothermal in focus at Global Islands Summit 2025; 25-30 May 2025, St. Kitts and Nevis

A one-day Geothermal Energy Forum will be held as part of this year’s Global Sustainable Islands Summit 2025, hosted by St Kitts and Nevis.
The Global Sustainable Islands Summit 2025, the premier event dedicated to advancing sustainable development on islands world, will be held on 27-29 May 2025 in St. Kitts and Nevis. As part of the event’s agenda this year, there will be a one-day Geothermal Energy Forum on 26 May 2025.

Building upon the momentum of the 2024 SIDS4 Conference, the summit will address pressing challenges confronting island communities, focusing on Water Sustainability & Energy Nexus, Agricultural Resilience & Climate Adaptation, Climate-Health Interactions and Geothermal Energy.
The Geothermal Energy Forum is a one-day event taking place before the main Global Sustainable Islands Summit, exploring the potential of geothermal energy in the Caribbean and for islands. This forum will bring together industry experts, policymakers, and innovators to discuss the latest advancements and opportunities in geothermal power generation, learning from the experiences on Nevis.
At the Geothermal Energy Forum, attendees can anticipate a focus on advancing geothermal energy solutions tailored for island nations. The forum is designed to provide valuable insights and opportunities for all participants. Here’s what you can expect:
- Innovation – Expect encouragement for innovation in addressing island-specific challenges in geothermal resource development
- Knowledge Exchange – A platform for sharing experiences and innovative solutions in geothermal energy development.

The event is being organized by Island Innovation with the support of the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis.
