Grant awarded for geothermal greenhouse installation in Eskisehir, Turkiye
The construction of modern greenhouses in Erkisehir, Turkiye that use geothermal heating for year-round production has received funding via a USD-190,000 grant.
The construction of modern technological greenhouses over a 50-decare area in Eskisehir, Turkiye that use geothermal heat for year-round produce has received funding from the Rural Development Support. The awarding of the grant with an amount of TL 3.583 million (approx. USD 190,000) was announced by Eskisehir Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Ender Muhammed Gumus.
“These modern greenhouses, which started operating with geothermal water extracted from a depth of 700 meters, will add value to Eskisehir and allow our citizens to access vegetables at more affordable prices. During our visit, we took note of the problems faced by our producers and their expectations of us, and we consulted about the solutions and the work to be done. There is room for everyone who wants to invest in the 1 million m2 geothermal license area. We invite all our investors to Eskisehir. Agricultural investments in Eskisehir are investments made in the future”. said Gumus.
Afterwards, the Provincial Director and the accompanying technical committee visited the newly built and modernized greenhouses and made observations.
