The GRC is determined to hold its 2020 GRC Annual Meeting and Expo as planned October 18-21, 2020 in Reno, Nevada and points to the deadline for paper submissions of May 27, 2020.
The Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) has released an update on its 2020 Annual Meeting & Expo to take place October 18-21, 2020. The following is the communication sent out today.
We hope that everybody is staying safe and well during these difficult times. The GRC leadership team has been closely monitoring developments with the COVID-19 virus and assessing its potential impact on future activities, including the 2020 GRC Annual Meeting & Expo.
Working with our expert meeting organizers we are ensuring the meeting proceeds full steam ahead with the health of our members and attendees as top priority. We’re excited to announce that if Reno, NV, is open for conference business then the meeting will go ahead as an in-person meeting with an interactive virtual meeting experience for those that cannot travel for whatever reason. If Reno remains closed for business, and so cannot hold the meeting in this format, then we will pivot to a completely virtual meeting.
We are actively exploring different technology options designed to bring together professionals in all aspects of the geothermal community and seamlessly deliver the newest research, the latest science and innovation, and advance our industry, while enabling attendee connections and networking opportunities.
Right now, the format of how the meeting will unfold is still uncertain. But we do know the Annual Meeting & Expo will happen this year, ensuring the safety and well-being of our attendees, so please submit your paper or poster abstract. We’re looking forward to receiving and reviewing your contributions that will ultimately help shape the Annual Meeting program.
The deadline for paper or poster abstract submissions is May 27, 2020 – that’s less than 2 weeks away!
