MTA to tender six geothermal licenses in Türkiye

The MTA has announced an upcoming tender for six licensed geothermal areas in Izmir, Manisa, Mersin, Sakarya and Sivas provinces in Türkiye.
According to the announcement published on the website of the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA), a total of 6 licensed geothermal fields will be tendered in five different localities in Türkiye. They are as follows:
- Bayindir in Izmir;
- Alasehir and Salihli in Manisa;
- Akdeniz in Mersin;
- Sapanca in Sakarya; and
- Central district of Sivas
The tendered geothermal fields have estimated prices ranging from 16.493.000.00 TL (approx. USD 490,546) to 57.180.000.00 TL (approx. USD 1,700,685).
The tender of the sites will be held on the 26th of August 2024 between 10:30 – 11:20.
Bids can be delivered by hand to MTA General Communication Branch until the tender date and time, or they can be sent to the same address by registered mail with return receipt requested.
