PLN has announced that it will be starting work on the 110 MW Hululais geothermal power project in Lebong Regency, Sumatra.

Reported earlier this month, PLN Sumatra Power Plant Development has announced that it will start work on the 110 MW Hululais geothermal power project. This will increase the number of geothermal power plants in Lebong Regency.

This was announed by the Bengkulu Provincial Government Land Procurement Preparation Team  through Announcement Number: 27 / TIM / SET.B4 / 2018 dated January 2, 2019, accessible here.

The announcement signed by the Bengkulu Regional Secretariat and Public Welfare Assistant Hamka Sabri said that the construction of the 110 MW Hululais PLTP is located Mubai Village, South Lebong Sub-District, Lebong Regency.

Plans for the procurement of land or land covering an area of approximately 15 hectares and the construction of geothermal power plants carried out this year based on the Bengkulu Governor’s Decree Number: C.611.B4 Year 2018 December 31, 2018 concerning Determination of Location of Hululais Geothermal Power Plant (2 × 55 MW) Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province.
