Registration is open for the International Geoenergy Forum, an online event focusing on geoenergy development in Ukraine on 26-27 September 2024.
Registration is now open for the International GEOENERGY Forum, an online event organized by Geothermal Ukraine to be held on 26-27 September 2024. Attendance is free for all.
The International GEOENERGY Forum 2024 focuses on the energy transition within the oil and gas sector in Ukraine, exploring innovative geoenergy solutions and bringing together government representatives, key industry leaders, policymakers, science related communities, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and innovations for the synergy in rebuilding the Ukrainian energy system.
The forum will provide a platform to discuss strategies, technologies, policies and best practices that can facilitate this shift.
The decision was made to hold the event online following a missile attach that targeted and severely damaged the infrastructure of the event partner Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (IFNTOGU). Despite the challenges, the event organizers are committed to ensuring that the IGF2024 proceeds smoothly to help contribute to geoenergy development in Ukraine.
As part of the event, Geothermal Ukraines has announced two important initiatives that are open for donation support:
- Support for the scientific and educational campaigns, in particular the launch of the Geothermal Ukraine social project. This initiative aims to enhance the public awareness of geothermal energy in Ukraine among children. It involves the printing and distribution of the book “Our Hidden Powers,” authored and published by Baseload Capital.
- Support the reconstruction and rebuilding of the “International Drilling Training Center.” This center was located in building #7 of IFNTOGU, which was destroyed during the shelling on June 26. The facility, including its equipment, is currently unusable. Your support will help restore this critical training center.
