TaiPower to explore two areas for geothermal development, Taiwan

Taiwan Power (Taipower) announces large renewable energy investment program and planned geothermal exploration in two volcanic areas in Taiwan.
State-owned Taiwan Power Co (Taipower) has announced big plans for renewable energy investments of up to $12bn over the next 15 years.
With primary plans for installed offshore wind power and solar, as well as expansions in land-based wind power and thermal power, there are also plans for geothermal exploration in volcanic areas of Taitung and Yangmingshan in Taipei over the next four years.
